A little tidbit: Cake Dots is a dedicated, died-in-the-wool, true fan of Charm City Cakes, aka, Ace of Cakes on the Foodtv network. And, even though we do our best at creating beautiful and one of a kind cakes, we are not Ace of Cakes but we think we are pretty good at creating -- considering we are home-grown. But you must keep in mind that "special order" sculpted, 2-D and 3-D cakes are a lot more work than you can imagine and we think our "special order" cake prices are pretty darn reasonable. As you know, there is a difference between Baltimore, MD prices and Columbus, OH prices and where Duff has a minimum price of $1,000 per cake, Cake Dots has a minimum of only $25 for party cakes and $75 for custom 2-D and 3-D cakes. All of our cakes, as are Duff’s, are not just baked and slapped with icing, they are lovingly created.
BTW, while you are at it, check out Duff's fantastic website (Charm City Cakes) -- you will be amazed at what he and his staff can recreate. He and "they" are my heroes.
OBOY!! Cake Dots now has other favorite programs: Cake Boss. Fabulous Cakes and of course, Amazing Wedding cakes. Now we are totally confused more so than ever. Ace of Cakes is entertaining but we find Cake Boss and Amazing Wedding Cakes teaches you more than Ace of Cakes. We definitely like the teaching stuff better -- sorry Duff.

This is a GIANT cupcake with a cute little standup guy :)
All extras including more than one flavor cake, animals, handmade or special ordered flowers,* stars, tilted cakes etc. are priced according to difficulty and materials used.
We will definitely work with you to give you not only the best tasting but definitely the best looking cake for the least amount; however, you MUST remember, we are not Walmart nor Kroger -- we custom make and design your cake to your requests.
*There are times when we absolutely cannot make the flowers needed for your cake either due to difficulty or time.
It seems that the posted Saturday pickup time is not working very well, so we are posting it up here at the top too.
SATURDAY Pickup
Saturday pickup TIME is between 10 a.m. and
12 noon.
(the reason for these pickup hours is because we have wedding cakes that MUST be delivered later in the day; so, if the pickup hours do not work for you, just let us know and we will see what we can work out). OK? OK.
Also, if you would like to pick up your cake on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, just let us know and we will be glad to set up a pickup time. It's the SATURDAY times we need to set between 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
If you MUST pick up your cake on SUNDAY
there will is a $25.00 fee
(how's that for incentive, lol)
Appointment Days and Times
If you would like a consult for your SPECIALITY birthday, shower, party or X-rated cake or cupcakes, the consultations are $25 per hour with a minimum of one hour. This is an additional fee and not included in the price of the cake. Cash payment at beginning of consult.
(The reason for the charge is because almost every one of the birthday, shower etc. cakes really do not require a consult and is almost a waste of your time and gas plus our time--sorry to be so blunt. Just tell us what you want on the cake and if necessary, email us a picture and go from there [this is the only time Cake Dots give our their email address]. We promise you will get a cute and fresh cake made only for you.)
Consultations are held Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Cake Delivery
Deliveries for speciality cakes in Columbus are $20. Deliveries outside of Columbus are priced accordingly.
Almost all of the cakes below are variations of the numbered x-rated cakes above.
You can make any change that you want.
